In June, Susie Wilde co-led two workshops with Barbie and Jose and the Mariposas families.
In the first workshop, we spoke of themes. We began with a book, Oliver Jeffers’ El Corazon y la Botella/ The Heart and the Bottle.

Then we divided into groups and came with possible themes that represented Mariposas…of an impressive list of possibilities, we decided many of these were embraced by the theme of LIBERATION!
During the second workshop, we set about imagining ideas for unique characters who dream of possibilities no one else has thought of. After reviewing more than a hundred ideas, we have come up with our character: A RIVER THAT LISTENS
